The Asia’s largest biotechnology exhibition is going to grand open in Taiwan this week, 600 global manufacturers will illustrate the latest biotech drugs and production technology, including molecular testing, research and development of new drugs and medical equipment, forming a complete industrial chain; meanwhile this is also the first biotechnology exhibition after the new government taking office.

As to the new drugs, Taiwanese manufacturers made a breakthrough and showed Taiwan’s unique characteristics from Chinese herbs. The development center for biotechnology team lead by Dr. Chung cost three years doing the research and development of diabetic wound healing pharmaceutical technology, the clinical data is better than the average level and transit the follow-up development work to the Oneness biotech of Microbio group.

The chairman of Microbio group, William Lu mentioned the problem biotech company facing in Taiwan is the market scale, which is only 0.4% of the world; however the biotech company invested tremendous resources to such a small market, in order to invent the new drugs, we have to connect to the world. For the biotech industry’s future in Taiwan, the new government should revise the regulations and encourage the biotech enterprise to continue preparing for the international market, becoming next prosperous industry in Taiwan.
